Something's Coming Down the Road...
If you follow me, you may have noticed I haven't released much new material. But that doesn't mean I haven't been busy!
Actually, quite the opposite!
Over the past several months, I've been spending a lot of time writing, co-writing, recording demos, and pitching songs to other artists. It's been an exciting process, and I've been fortunate to receive some encouraging feedback along the way.
I've had songs forwarded, gotten close on a few opportunities, and of course, heard my share of "not this time." But - That's songwriting! But every song, every conversation, and every opportunity feels like another step in the right direction.
And now, things are about to get a little more interesting.
I've got a trip coming up, some exciting things on the calendar, and a little news I'm looking forward to sharing.
I'm not going to give away too much just yet.
What I will tell you is that I've decided to start bringing you along for more of the experience. Not just the finished songs, but everything that happens behind the scenes.
The writing sessions. The people. The places. The opportunities. And yes, probably a few disappointments along the way.
It's all part of something I'm calling The Road to My First Cut.
I have no idea exactly where this road is going to lead, but I'm looking forward to finding out.
